The News That Shocked India

THE NEWS THAT SHOCKED INDIA

Yes its a shocking news for the people in India as well as for the Muslim community in India. Recently reports claimed that few Indian Muslims joined terrorist group ISIS in IRAQ. It not only means that these Indian Muslims became terrorists, it does mean that maybe actively involved in killing Iraqis and others, raping captured females etc. As these news are actively spread over the internet about how the ISIS is behaving there and what are their activities over there. It can be seen all over the internet that how cruelly the ISIS is spreading their terror and expanding their area of operation. Although it is questionable that why did the Indian Muslims choose to join the terrorist organization ISIS.

NEW DELHI: A delegation of six members from Anjuman-e Haideri (AEH), a Shia committee from Delhi, will go to Iraq to provide help and appeal to Indian Muslims, who have allegedly joined ISIS, to come back. Shia leader, Maulana Kalbe Jawwad Naqvi, in a news conference on Monday said that Zionists and their cohorts are reportedly engaged in training and financing the ISIS and other terrorist groups.

ISIS has attracted jihadists from across the world to join them like the Chechen jihadist above.

The members of the committee said that anyone who supports ISIS, Boko Haram, al-Qaida isn't a Muslim as no religion allows anyone to kill innocent people. They have also urged the Indian government to take ISIS seriously as it has threatened to attack Kashmir.

Members of AEH claim to have recently received a letter from Khairullah, deputy minister of foreign affairs, government of Republic of Iraq, thanking the committee and Indian government for volunteering to protect holy shrines in Iraq.

Advocate Mehmood Pracha recently met the families of boys, who have reportedly joined ISIS, in Mumbai.

"The families of these youths do not believe in the ideology of the ISIS and they have appealed to the government to bring their boys back."

When asked about Unnao MP Sakshi Maharaj's remark on madrassas churning out terrorists, Naqvi said that the government should probe the claim and "If there is no truth, then the BJP leader should apologize."

Tamil Nadu youth joins ISIS, family recalls his journey into insurgency

CUDDALORE: In March this year, Usman Ali of Paranagipettai near Cuddalore, a picturesque coastal village north of Tamil Nadu, was shaken out of his stupor. It was a call on his wife Rokhyaa's mobile. Their son Haja Fakkurudeen (37) had phoned to say he was well and his dream had come true. He was now living in Syria with wife Ayesha Siddika and their three children, and fighting alongside ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria)
That was the last a shattered Usman and his wife heard from Fakkurudeen, who is believed to be among 80-odd Muslim youths from India who have joined the war against the Syrian and Iraqi regimes. "My wife, son-in-law and I tried hard to prevent him from going to Syria. But his mind had been made up. He used to contribute a good part of his salary for ISIS. He said it was his dream to live in an Islamic country," said Usman, who depended on his son's income to run the house. READ MORE

2 Thane boys among 18 Indians who joined ISIS

NEW DELHI: As investigations into Thursday's Pune blast progress, agencies are worried about two youths from Thane (near Mumbai) who are reported to have left for Iraq to fight along ISIS about a year ago. These two boys are part of the 18 Indians learnt to be fighting in Iraq and Syria and are being tracked by intelligence agencies.

Sources within the security establishment say most of these 18 hail from south India. Some of those who have been identified belong to Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. It is not known whether any of them has returned but such exodus from south India has become a cause for worry for the agencies.

ISIS chief Abubakr Al-Baghdadi, who recently declared himself as the Caliph of Islamic State (as the group is now known to be in pursuit of establishing a Caliphate in West Asia), has asked Indian Muslims to wage war against the nation in an audio message. READ MORE

Young Indians joining ISIS call for jihad in West Asia

For this business family of four in Srinagar’s upscale Jawahar Nagar, life was smooth. For them, their eldest son, 26-year-old Adil Fayaz, was an achiever — an MBA from Australia’s Queensland University ostensibly working with an NGO in Turkey.
But the story, according to Indian security agencies, is very different. Senior home ministry officials say Adil was radicalised by Islamic fundamentalists in Australia. He then, they say, left for Turkey and entered Syria via Jordan to join jihadists in the civil war in June 2013. Although his family claims Adil is working for an NGO in Turkey to help Syrian refugees, they don’t have the name of the NGO or its phone number. Their son talks to them on voice over internet protocol (VoIP).
Adil is perhaps the first Indian from Kashmir to join the Syrian jihad against the Bashar al-Assad regime.
The police in the Valley said they don’t have any such information. “We don’t have any information about any Kashmiri boy having joined the fight in Syria,” said AG Mir, IG Police, Kashmir.
But Omar Abdullah, J&K chief minister, told HT, “No one from Kashmir has gone to fight in Syria. However, there is reportedly one boy who had gone to Australia and has been recruited from there.”
Adil is not the only one reportedly attracted to the jihadist movement in Syria and Iraq. Indian security agencies have identified no less than 10 Muslim youngsters who’ve left lucrative jobs to fight to establish a pan-Islamic caliphate. Apart from four youngsters from Kalyan, near Mumbai, who are believed to be fighting alongside Islamic State of Syria and Levant (ISIS) terrorists, a Kerala youth studying in Dubai and a Hyderabad student from Texas have joined Islamist fighters in Syria.  READ MORE

More Indians have joined ISIS in Iraq: Report

Mumbai: Amidst reports that four Indians are believed to have joined the ISIS, the Maharashtra police now suspect that more young men may have `enrolled` in the Sunni militant group in Iraq.
According to a news channel, around 15 men are missing from Bhiwandi and Mumbra in the Thane district near Mumbai.
These are the same areas from where Aarif Majid, Aman Tandel, Saleem Tanki and Fahad Shaikh have been missing since May, when they allegedly went on a pilgrimage to the holy city of Karbala in Iraq.
All of them left in the last week of May, claiming they were going for a pilgrimage to the holy city of Karbala. READ MORE
